VaultLMS Installation & System Requirements

VaultLMS is a self-hosted WordPress plugin — you install it on your own site and keep full ownership of your content and data. This guide covers requirements and setup.

System requirements

• WordPress: 6.4 or newer.
• PHP: 8.0 or newer (PHP 8.1+ recommended for best performance).
• MySQL / MariaDB: any version supported by your WordPress release.
• Hosting: any standard WordPress host works for getting started. If you expect many students taking timed exams at the same time, choose quality hosting (adequate PHP memory and CPU, object caching, and a host that doesn’t aggressively cache logged-in pages).
• HTTPS: required for selling — Stripe checkout needs a secure site.

Install & activate

1. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin and upload the VaultLMS .zip.
2. Click Install Now, then Activate.
3. Enter your license key under VaultLMS → License & Updates to enable automatic updates.
4. Create your first course, then import your question bank.
