VaultLMS lets you build an entire question bank in a spreadsheet and bulk-import it into WordPress in one step — no copy-pasting questions one at a time. This is the fastest way to load hundreds or thousands of practice questions for a test-prep course.
In your WordPress admin, go to VaultLMS → Import & Tools and upload your .xlsx or .csv file. VaultLMS reads the header row, shows you a preview with validation (so you can fix any flagged rows before anything is saved), then imports the questions into your bank.
Use one row per question with these columns:
Question — the question text.Type — single (one correct answer), multi (more than one), tf (true/false), or fill (fill-in-the-blank).ChoiceA, ChoiceB, ChoiceC, ChoiceD, ChoiceE — the answer options (use as many as you need).Correct — the correct letter(s), e.g. A, or A,C for multi-answer. For fill, list the accepted answers separated by |, ; or new lines.Explanation — the rationale shown after answering (great for learning).Chapter and Subchapter — used to organize questions into pools so you can build chapter quizzes and full mock exams.VaultLMS also recognizes common header aliases — for example Answer or Key for Correct, Rationale for Explanation, and Section or Category for Chapter — so an existing bank usually imports with little reformatting.
Correct value matches one of its choice letters — the preview flags any that don’t.Chapter so you can pull randomized pools into timed mock exams.Next: build a timed mock exam from your imported bank, or see the shortcodes reference to place quizzes on any page.
