This policy explains how VaultLMS ("we", "us") collects and uses personal information when you visit https://vaultlms.com/, purchase a VaultLMS subscription, or use our license, update, and support services. It does not cover data that you collect from your own students on sites you run with VaultLMS — for that data, you are the controller and your own privacy policy applies.
We use this information to provide the services you purchased (delivering license keys, updates, and support), to process payments and send transactional email such as receipts and renewal reminders, to respond to support requests, to prevent fraud and license abuse, to comply with legal obligations such as tax records, and — only if you opt in — to send product news you can unsubscribe from at any time.
Where the GDPR or similar law applies, we process your data to perform our contract with you (orders, licenses, updates, support), for our legitimate interests (security, fraud and abuse prevention, improving the services), to comply with legal obligations (tax and accounting), and with your consent for optional marketing email.
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf and under contract: Stripe for payments, our email provider for transactional and support email, and our hosting provider for the website and license server. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

We keep account and order records for as long as your account is active and as required for tax and accounting purposes afterward. License activation logs are kept for as long as needed to operate and secure the license service. Support correspondence is retained so we can reference the history of your account.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent for marketing at any time. To exercise these rights, email support@vaultlms.com; we will respond within the time required by applicable law. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
If you are a resident of California or another U.S. state with a consumer-privacy law, you may have additional rights, including the right to know or access the personal information we have collected, the right to correct inaccurate information, the right to request deletion, the right to a portable copy, and the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information and of targeted advertising. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. Our services are operated from the United States. If you access them from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, with safeguards as required by applicable law.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, restricted access to production systems, and payment handling delegated entirely to Stripe. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our website and services are intended for business customers and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
